Our verdict

Das Keyboard suits PC gamers who want a mechanical keyboard and a wireless gaming headset from one maker, and buyers who value a support line that answers the phone. Entry price of $99 sits mid-table, while the 1 year guarantee is short for gear used every day.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Wireless is yes, and the headset side runs 30 hours on a charge, so a long session needs no cable.
  • The range spans gaming keyboard and gaming headset, so the keyboard and the headset come from the same maker.
  • Support runs on email, phone and help centre, which includes a phone line rather than email alone.
  • Founded in 2005 and trading as Metadot Corporation, the company is a long-standing PC peripherals maker.

Cons

  • Noise cancelling is no, so the headset gives no quiet on a noisy commute or in a loud room.
  • Shipping is listed for US only, so buyers elsewhere need to confirm delivery before ordering.
  • Platforms cover pc only, which leaves out console and handheld players.
  • Warranty cover runs 1 year, ranking 17 of 40 on warranty years.

Who it suits

  • PC gamers who want a mechanical keyboard and a wireless headset in the same desk setup.
  • Buyers who want phone support, since support runs on email, phone and help centre.
  • Shoppers in US who want delivery covered in a listed region.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Console and handheld players: HyperX covers gaming headset, gaming mouse and gaming keyboard, including a controller.
  • Anyone chasing quiet on the move, since noise cancelling is no here; Skullcandy is a headset-only alternative listed at gaming headset.
  • Buyers who want a gaming mouse in the same basket: CORSAIR lists gaming headset, gaming keyboard and gaming mouse alongside its headsets.

Core features

Wireless is yes on the headset side, so nothing has to stay plugged in during a long session, and battery life is 30 hours before you need a charger. That is enough for several evenings of play or a run of calls on one charge. The guarantee is the part to weigh next: cover runs 1 year. A mechanical keyboard is something people keep for a long time, so a short window matters more here than it would for a spare cable. Wireless buys a cleaner desk, and the short cover is the trade.

How it compares on our data

On price from, Das Keyboard sits at 34 of 47 brands in the ranking, which reads as a middle position rather than a budget or a premium spot. On warranty years it ranks 17 of 40, close to the middle of the field. Read together, the pattern is fair money for a standard guarantee: you pay around the middle and cover is unremarkable. If warranty length decides your choice, weigh this against a rival with a longer promise before buying.

The company behind it

Das Keyboard trades as Metadot Corporation and is headquartered in the United States. It was founded in 2005, which makes it a long-standing name in PC keyboards rather than a new arrival at the desk. Support is the standout: email, phone and help centre. A phone line matters for hardware, because a keyboard that will not post or a headset that will not pair is easier to talk through than to type into a form. Email and a help centre handle the written side of warranty paperwork.

Frequently asked questions

What does Das Keyboard actually sell?+

The range is gaming keyboard and gaming headset, a PC gaming keyboard and a PC gaming headset from the same company. That is a narrow but coherent line: if your desk is built around a PC, you can cover typing and audio without shopping two makers. There is no controller or gaming mouse in the range, so those come from elsewhere.

How much does a Das Keyboard setup cost?+

Entry price is $99 for the headphone side of the range, with keyboards sold alongside it. In the site ranking on price from, the brand sits at 34 of 47, which reads as a middle position rather than either end. Budget for the headset and treat the keyboard as a separate decision.

Is the Das Keyboard headset wireless?+

Yes. Wireless is yes across the range, and battery life is 30 hours, which covers several evenings of gaming or a run of calls on one charge. Plan a recharge before a long weekend of use. The keyboard is a PC peripheral, so it stays with the desk rather than the couch.

Does it block out background noise?+

Noise cancelling is no, so the headset does not actively cancel a noisy room or a plane cabin. That is normal for gaming audio, where the goal is game and voice sound rather than silence. If quiet travel listening matters most, Skullcandy is a headset-only alternative listed at gaming headset.

How long is the warranty?+

Cover runs 1 year, which is short for a mechanical keyboard you expect to keep for years. In the ranking on warranty years, Das Keyboard sits at 17 of 40, near the middle of the field. Read the guarantee wording before checkout if the board is your main typing device.

Which platforms does it work on?+

Platforms list pc only, so the keyboard and the headset are built for a PC setup. Nothing here covers console or handheld play, which matters if some of your gaming happens elsewhere. Console players should look at HyperX, whose range includes gaming headset, gaming mouse and gaming keyboard and therefore a controller.

Which countries does it ship to?+

Shipping is listed for US, so the stated delivery is domestic. Buyers elsewhere should confirm delivery before spending, and the headphone and keyboard ranges can be ordered as separate purchases. The company is headquartered in the United States, which matches the shipping region.

How do I get help after buying?+

Support runs on email, phone and help centre. The phone line is the useful one for hardware, since a keyboard that will not post or a headset that will not pair is easier to talk through than to type into a form. Email and a help centre handle written questions and warranty paperwork. The company trades as Metadot Corporation, founded in 2005.
