Pros and cons
Pros
- Build to order is a yes, so each machine is configured rather than sold as one fixed shelf model.
- Warranty runs 1 to 3 years and the returns window is 30 days, so a buyer has room to send a machine back.
- Support runs on email, chat and phone, so help does not depend on a single inbox.
- Laptop memory reaches 128 GB, which gives headroom for large game libraries and editing work.
- The catalogue spans gaming laptop, gaming pc and desktop, the same product spread Scan lists, so one store covers laptops, gaming PCs, desktops and mini PCs.
Cons
- Price from $2,080 ranks 32 on that measure among 34 brands, so entry cost is the part to weigh.
- Only Windows machines are listed, so buyers after a different desktop system have to look elsewhere.
- Sales run in US and CA, so buyers in the UK or in Belgium get a different store, such as Scan or Coolblue Belgium.
- Warranty runs 1 to 3 years, so the entry build carries the shortest cover, under the 2 year midpoint for gaming PC brands.
Who it suits
- Buyers who know the spec they want and want it assembled, since build to order is a yes here.
- Shoppers in the US and Canada, since sales run in US and CA.
- Students who can show their status, since a student discount is a yes.
Who should look elsewhere
- Buyers who want one store for a wider mix of devices, since Coolblue Belgium lists laptop, desktop and gaming pc.
- Buyers who only want laptops, gaming laptops, desktops and gaming PCs, since CyberPowerPC lists laptop, gaming laptop and desktop.
- Shoppers on a tight entry budget, who may prefer a cheaper floor than $2,080.
What it does well
Origin PC builds to order, and that is a yes, so the specification is chosen for the machine rather than fixed for the range. Buyers who already know which graphics card and how much memory they need can order exactly that. On the laptop side memory reaches 128 GB, which is the headroom that matters for large game libraries, video editing, or streaming while a game runs. Cover runs 1 to 3 years, so the term sits within a range rather than one fixed length, and the returns window is 30 days. Both matter on this kind of machine, because a spec you choose yourself cannot simply be swapped for a shelf model the next morning. A student discount is a yes, so buyers in education can pull the cost down before they decide whether to take a longer warranty term.
Who runs it
The legal entity behind the store is ORIGIN PC Corporation, with its headquarters in US and a founding year of 2009. That is a US company with a long trading history, and the name on the terms and conditions is the one to look for when you order. Support runs on email, chat and phone. Buyers can take a question by email for a written answer, use chat for a quick one, call when a fault needs explaining at length, or check the help centre before doing either. Having all of those in place matters more on a build to order machine, because the buyer knows the spec and can describe it in detail.

Frequently asked questions
What does an Origin PC machine cost to start?+
The entry price is $2,080, and it covers the range listed under gaming laptop, gaming pc and desktop: gaming laptops, gaming PCs, desktops and mini PCs. Build to order is a yes, so the final figure follows the spec you pick, which makes the starting price a floor rather than a typical basket. Origin PC ranks 32 on price from among 34 brands.
Can I choose the parts inside an Origin PC machine?+
Build to order is a yes, so machines are configured rather than sold as fixed shelf models. That is the main draw for buyers who already know which graphics card and how much memory they want. On the laptop side, memory options reach 128 GB.
How long is the Origin PC warranty?+
Cover runs 1 to 3 years, so the term depends on the machine rather than sitting at one fixed length. Buyers comparing two builds should read the lower end of that range as the realistic floor, then check the term shown on the build they actually want before ordering.
How long do I have to return an Origin PC machine?+
The returns window is 30 days, taken from the terms and conditions. Returns matter most here, because a machine assembled to a chosen spec cannot be swapped for a shelf model. Cover and returns are separate: 1 to 3 years is the repair term, while 30 days is the change of mind window.
What operating systems do Origin PC machines run?+
The listed operating system is Windows, and that covers the whole catalogue across gaming laptop, gaming pc and desktop. Buyers who need a different desktop system have fewer options here, so it is worth checking what your own work requires before you settle on a machine.
Which countries does Origin PC sell in?+
Sales run in US and CA, and the company is headquartered in the United States under the legal entity ORIGIN PC Corporation. Buyers in other countries are looking at a different set of stores, which is where a brand such as Scan or Coolblue Belgium may suit the market better.
Does Origin PC offer a student discount?+
A student discount is a yes, and it applies to the store serving US and CA. Set against an entry price of $2,080, it lowers the starting cost for buyers in education. Anyone comparing budgets should work from the discounted figure rather than the list price.
How do I reach Origin PC support?+
Support runs on email, chat and phone, so there is a written route, a quick live route, a spoken route and a self service one. Buyers who want a record of the answer can go by email or the help centre, while phone suits a fault that takes longer to describe.
