Our verdict
Adorama suits US photographers and audio buyers who want camera depth plus a refurb and trade-in route, rather than a single-brand catalogue. Laptops cover Windows and macOS with memory to 64 GB, support runs on chat, phone and help centre, and headphones start at $6.99.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Lenses and used-cameras lead lenses and used cameras, while computers, phones and audio runs through computers, phones, audio, tv, gaming and appliances with no camera line.
- Refurbished gear is a listed category in cameras, audio and refurbished, so a used route sits beside new stock from the same seller.
- Trade-in is offered and support reaches chat, phone and help centre, so help and an upgrade route do not sit behind a single channel.
- Headphone listings pair noise cancelling with battery life of 40 hours, and a listed pair of earbuds carries an IP57 rating.
Cons
- Build to order is not offered, so laptop configurations arrive as stocked rather than assembled to a specification.
- The range is narrower than computers, phones and audio, which puts computers, phones, audio, tv, gaming, cameras and appliances under a single roof.
- Laptops cover Windows and macOS only, so Chromebooks and Linux machines sit outside what the store lists.

Scored 9.1 / 10 by GizmoCue.
Who it suits
- US photographers and videographers who need lenses and used bodies, since lenses and used cameras sits at the centre of the range.
- Refurbished buyers who also want a trade-in route, with refurbished listed in cameras, audio and refurbished and trade-in offered.
- Laptop buyers on Windows or macOS, with Windows and macOS covered and graphics from nvidia, intel and apple.
Who should look elsewhere
- Shoppers who want phones, tv and appliances in the same basket: Akkuk.hu lists computers, phones and audio, wider than Adorama's cameras, audio and refurbished.
- Buyers shopping for gaming and general electronics first: Banggood's computers, phones and audio reaches beyond Adorama's cameras, audio and refurbished.
- Anyone after a single audio brand's own gear: JBL's audio, gaming and refurbished is built around audio and gaming rather than a camera-led range.
The company behind it
Adorama Camera, Inc. is the legal entity behind the store, and its headquarters sit in the US. The company has been trading since 1974, so the name is long established in the United States electronics retail. Support is the part most readers will test, and Adorama covers it: help comes by chat, by phone and through a help centre, a spread that matters when a lens, a body or a laptop arrives with a problem. For shoppers outside the US, the headquarters is the detail to weigh, since the storefront prices are set in the US market.

Frequently asked questions
How cheap are headphones at Adorama?+
Headphone listings start at $6.99. They are sold under the audio part of cameras, audio and refurbished, with noise cancelling offered and battery life of 40 hours. The entry price therefore sits on audio rather than on camera gear.
Does Adorama sell laptops, and can they be configured?+
Yes. Laptop listings cover Windows and macOS, with graphics from nvidia, intel and apple and memory up to 64 GB. Build to order is not offered, so configurations arrive as they are stocked rather than assembled to a specification you choose.
How do I get help from Adorama?+
Support runs on chat, phone and help centre, so help comes by chat, by phone and through a help centre. That spread matters most for camera and lens buyers, where setup and firmware questions are more involved than for a packaged accessory.
Can I trade in an old camera or laptop at Adorama?+
Trade-in is offered, so old gear can offset part of a new purchase. The same store also lists refurbished stock within cameras, audio and refurbished, which is a cheaper route than buying new and trading in later. Lenses and used-cameras sit in lenses and used cameras for the same reason.
Where is Adorama based, and does it sell outside the US?+
The legal entity is Adorama Camera, Inc., headquartered in the United States, and trading began in 1974. Shoppers outside the US should weigh shipping cost and currency, since shelf prices are set in the US market.
Can I buy used cameras and lenses at Adorama?+
Lenses and used-cameras are among the listed product types in lenses and used cameras. That is the clearest difference from general electronics sellers such as Banggood, whose computers, phones and audio runs across computers, phones, audio, tv, gaming and appliances with no camera line.
Are Adorama's earbuds water resistant?+
A listed pair of earbuds carries an IP57 rating, which marks it dust tight and protected against immersion in water. The rating belongs to that product rather than to the whole audio range in cameras, audio and refurbished, so each listing stands on its own.
Does Adorama stock refurbished gear?+
Refurbished appears in the listed store categories, cameras, audio and refurbished, so a used route runs beside new stock. The store also runs an audio category, a cameras category and a trade-in path, which means a buyer can move from a new body to a cheaper one without changing seller.
