Our verdict

XVX keeps a narrow shop: gaming keyboards and mice, with the keyboard wireless and battery life listed at 300 hours. It suits PC and mobile players who want cheap gear and can live with a 1 year warranty; anyone after a wider range should start with HyperX.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Battery life of 300 hours on the keyboard sits far above the 70 upper figure reached by most products listed on the site.
  • XVX's entry price of €24.69 sits well under the €86.82 median price across the site, which is where the bargain sits.
  • Platforms cover pc and mobile, so the same wireless board works on a desktop and a phone.
  • Delivery runs to HK, IL and TW, putting the store in front of buyers across Asia, Europe and the Americas rather than a single market.

Cons

  • Support runs on email, help centre and community only, so there is no phone line or live chat in the listed channels.
  • The dead pixel policy is a no, so the refund policy makes no promise on faulty panels.
  • A 1 year warranty places the brand at 17 of 40 on this measure, short of the 2 longer terms some brands carry.
  • The range stops at gaming keyboard and gaming mouse, with no headset or controller to add, where HyperX covers gaming headset, gaming mouse and gaming keyboard and CORSAIR covers gaming headset, gaming keyboard and gaming mouse.

Who it suits

  • PC and mobile players who want a wireless board and a mouse from a small direct store.
  • Buyers who are happy to sort support in writing, since channels run to email, help centre and community.
  • Buyers in Asia, Europe and the Americas who want delivery without a regional storefront: the store ships to HK, IL and TW.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Headset buyers: Skullcandy lists gaming headset, a different shelf to shop for audio gear.
  • Shoppers who want a single maker for everything: HyperX spans gaming headset, gaming mouse and gaming keyboard, so a headset, keyboard, mouse and controller can come from the same brand.
  • Console players: platforms run to pc and mobile, so a shopper shopping only for console gear should start with HyperX, whose range includes a controller.

Core features

The gear in this range is wireless, and wireless is a yes on the keyboard in the line-up, so a desk can stay cable free. Battery life is listed at 300 hours, which is the headline number for anyone weighing a cheap wireless mechanical board. Warranty cover runs 1 year, and that is the term attached to the products in the range.

The company behind it

The entity behind the storefront is XVX Gadget INC, headquartered in China and trading as Shaodong Tongchi Technology Co. The company was founded in 2018, making it a younger outfit than the gaming brands it is priced against. Support runs on email, help centre and community, which keeps help in writing rather than on the phone, and questions reach the same company that sells the gear.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a keyboard from XVX cost?+

Keyboards start at €24.69, and the store sells gaming keyboard and gaming mouse rather than a wider mix. That entry figure sits under the €86.82 median price across the site, so the value case rests on the cheapest board in the range. Higher priced boards in the same collection are what moves the spend upward.

Is the keyboard wireless and how long does the battery last?+

Wireless is a yes on the keyboard in the range, so the desk can stay cable free. Battery life is listed at 300 hours, a long figure for a wireless mechanical board and it sits at the 300 top of the site. Charging is the trade you accept for that runtime.

How long is the warranty?+

Warranty cover runs 1 year, which is the term most brands on the site carry, sitting at the 1 median. On the warranty ranking XVX places 17 among 40 brands, so cover is standard rather than generous.

Which platforms do these products support?+

Platforms cover pc and mobile, so the gear suits a desktop and a phone. That is a narrow platform list, and it leaves out the console categories that other brands build into their ranges. Console buyers should start with HyperX instead.

How do I contact support?+

Support runs on email, help centre and community, so help centre articles, an email address and a community board carry the load. The written channels suit questions about a board, a keycap or a mouse, and they keep a record of the exchange. Urgent hardware faults are the case where written support is least satisfying.

Who owns and runs the brand?+

The legal entity on the paperwork is XVX Gadget INC, headquartered in China and trading under the XVX name. It was founded in 2018, so the company is young next to the established gaming names it is priced against. That means a newer outfit rather than a long established vendor.

How does the price compare with bigger gaming brands?+

XVX starts at €24.69, under the €56.92 median entry price in the gaming headsets and controllers group, and far below the €8,768.75 ceiling on the site. HyperX and CORSAIR cover wider catalogues, so the saving comes with a shorter list of products.

Is there a dead pixel policy?+

The dead pixel policy is a no, so the refund policy makes no promise on faulty pixels. For a keyboard and mouse shopper that matters little, and the 1 year warranty is the cover that applies. It matters more if the same store is used for a display, where panel faults are the whole point.
