What is Price match?

In short

A store's promise to cut its own price when the same item is found cheaper elsewhere, which removes much of the risk of buying in the wrong place.

A price match promise lets a buyer point to a lower price for the same item and have the store lower its own. It removes the penalty for shopping at the wrong retailer, and it is strongest when terms are written down. Coes, Currys and Elkjop each state a price match promise, so a cheaper listing elsewhere is a usable claim rather than a courtesy. Daraz and Gazelle state no promise, so a lower price elsewhere has to be weighed against convenience, delivery cost and returns handling on their own. Check whether the promise covers the identical model, a listed retailer and the same warranty terms.
