What is GaN?

GaN, or gallium nitride, lets a charger switch power faster than older silicon chips, so a plug can run cooler and stay smaller at the same wattage. It is the tech behind most compact multi-port chargers now. Anker and AOHI both sell GaN chargers, which suits anyone packing a small charger for travel. AGM Mobile, Allpowers and ALLPOWERS do not, so their chargers use the older approach.
