What is Dead pixel policy?
In short
Whether a brand promises to replace a screen with stuck or dead pixels under its own stated terms, which is what separates a covered monitor from an as-is one.
A dead pixel policy is the brand's stated rule for replacing a screen when pixels stay lit or stay dark. Dead pixels are common in LCD and OLED panels, and the tolerance differs by maker. A bright-pixel guarantee is the strictest version: it means a single stuck-on pixel counts as a fault. Brands split on whether they publish that promise at all. Newegg states a dead pixel policy, so a failed panel has a stated route to a replacement. ALTERNATE, AOC, BuyDig and Kensington state no such policy, which leaves the buyer to rely on the general warranty terms instead. Always read the policy wording, not just its presence.
