What is Build to order?

A build to order machine is put together once you have placed your order, which means the processor, memory and storage can be chosen before it is built. Off the shelf machines arrive with a fixed set of parts, and a different one needs a different listing rather than a configuration choice. In this set, aaawave builds to order, and ALTERNATE builds to order on both its German and Spanish sites. Adorama does not build to order, and neither does asgoodasnew, so a shopper who wants a specific processor, memory size or storage capacity has fewer choices at those two stores.
