GoodBuy Gear review

Delivery is free once an order passes $100, and click and collect is available for anyone near a collection point. A price match applies as well, so a lower priced listing elsewhere can be brought to the store's own price before you commit to an order.

The returns window runs 14 days, which places the store at 57 among 80 brands ranked on returns. Since refurbished is the only category listed, check the condition grade of the unit against that window before it closes.

Click and collect is offered, alongside free delivery over $100. The store serves US from a base in the United States, so both collection and delivery are arranged around the US market rather than a wider list of countries.

Extended warranty is not offered, so cover depends on the maker and on the typical warranty length of 12 months listed across the store's products. Anything beyond that has to be arranged separately, which matters most on refurbished units.

Orders are placed with Good Buy Gear, Inc., a US company, and the store serves US from a base in the United States. Catalogue breadth is the catch, because refurbished is the only store category listed, so the range stays on refurbished gear.

A typical entry price is €82.97, with lower priced listings at €33.77 and the priciest listing at €8,768.75. That spread matters because refurbished is the only category, so the same model can turn up in several condition grades.

Support runs on email, chat and help centre, so email, live chat and a help centre cover most questions, with no phone line listed. The help centre is the place to check before sending anything back, since the returns window runs 14 days on refurbished stock.

It suits shoppers who accept refurbished stock: refurbished is the only store category, and a price match plus free delivery over $100 keep the outlay down. Pick a known model in a good condition grade, then use the 14 days window to check the unit on arrival.
