Our verdict

AUTO-VOX suits drivers who want a cheap, plainly supported camera for a single job and will manage after-sales questions by email. Entry price of €81.66 compares well with the action camera median of €69, while a warranty of 1 to 1.5 years keeps the risk modest.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Entry price of €81.66 sits below the action camera median of €69
  • Ships to a wide set of destinations, with US, CA and JP listed for delivery
  • Trading since 2007, behind the legal entity AUTO-VOX TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED
  • A warranty of 1 to 1.5 years matches the action camera median of 1

Cons

  • Support runs on email and help centre only, so no live chat or phone route for faults
  • GaN is no, which rules the brand out for charger and power bank buyers
  • Only action camera on offer, a narrower range than Campark's action camera and compact
  • Warranty of 1 to 1.5 years sits at the action camera lower quartile of 1, so long coverage is not the norm

Who it suits

  • Drivers who want a second camera for rear or cabin coverage without a large outlay
  • Shoppers in the US, CA and JP destinations who want delivery without hunting across many sellers
  • Buyers comfortable handling setup and support by email rather than phone

Who should look elsewhere

  • Anyone after surround footage, where JOOAN's 360 camera is the closer fit
  • Buyers who want a broader action camera choice than AUTO-VOX's single action camera line
  • Shoppers needing live phone or chat help, since support is email and help centre

Who runs it

AUTO-VOX trades as AUTO-VOX TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED, registered in Hong Kong. The company has been operating since 2007, so it is an established name rather than a short lived marketplace seller, and the warranty terms and the company name appear together in its published documentation. After-sales runs on email and help centre. That means written support through email and a help centre rather than a phone line or live chat, so questions about faults, returns and warranty cover will need a short written explanation. For a camera bought at a modest outlay, that is a workable arrangement, though it suits buyers who are comfortable writing and waiting for a reply. The practical takeaway is that you are dealing with a long standing registered company with published cover terms, and that support contact happens in writing. Buyers who need a phone conversation during setup or a fault should look further down the list.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an AUTO-VOX camera cost?+

The listed entry point is €81.66, taken from the brand's own store. That sits just under the action camera median of €69 and close to the wider site median of €86.82, so budget buyers land in a familiar band. Prices above that move toward €105.23.

What does the warranty cover?+

AUTO-VOX lists a warranty of 1 to 1.5 years for its cameras. The action camera category median is 1, so this sits in line with the middle of the field, and the top of the range among action camera brands reaches 3. Cover terms are set out on the brand's warranty terms.

How do I get help if the camera faults?+

Support runs on email and help centre, so email and the help centre are the routes. Help centres are the most common support route in the action camera ranking at 100%, while phone support sits lower at 57.1%. Plan on writing rather than calling.

Where does AUTO-VOX deliver?+

The shipping policy names US, CA and JP as the destinations it covers, spanning North America, Japan, Australia and much of Western Europe. The brand is registered as AUTO-VOX TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED in Hong Kong, so cross border support sits with that company. Check your own country against the list before ordering.

Does AUTO-VOX sell chargers or power banks?+

No. The catalogue is listed under action camera and the brand is not a charger maker, and GaN support is no. If you want chargers and power banks, look at a brand in that category instead, since a power bank comparison will rank different sellers.

Is AUTO-VOX a new or established brand?+

The company has traded since 2007, which puts it well beyond a first year of selling. It operates as AUTO-VOX TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED from HK. That history matters mainly for warranty handling, where the terms are the reference point rather than the brand's age.

Can I get a surround view camera from AUTO-VOX?+

Not from the listed range. AUTO-VOX offers action camera, while JOOAN lists 360 camera and Defender Cameras lists 360 camera and used cameras alongside used units. If surround capture is the goal, compare those two ranges first.

How does the entry price compare with rivals?+

At €81.66, AUTO-VOX ranks at position 21 of 42 brands on entry price. The action camera field runs from €12.27 at the floor to €309 at the top, so cheaper units exist if you need to spend less.
